Kelly also finished tenth in the women's skeleton event at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
She won the women's Skeleton World Cup overall title in 2002-3.
Born in Fort St. John, British Columbia, Kelly now lives in Calgary.
She qualified for the 2010 Winter Olympics, finishing 13th.
==Controversy==
In 2009, while qualifying for the World Cup selection, Michelle Kelly was disqualified after post-race testing revealed that the runners on her sled were in violation of rules set by the International Bobsleigh and Toboggan Federation, improving her run time. An appeal was set up, and she was ultimately allowed to regain her place.
